One of the most important parts of planning any event is determining the budget. There are so many things to consider when establishing a budget for an event, and one of the most important is the cost of hiring a live band. The live band price in Singapore can vary greatly from one band to another, so it’s important to understand what you’re paying for and why.

This article will help you understand live band pricing, what factors can influence the cost of hiring a live band, and what to look for when comparing prices.

  1. The number of musicians in the band

The number of musicians in the band has a direct impact on the cost. A smaller band may be more affordable than a large one. But, a larger band can give you a more dynamic sound and a wider range of musical styles.

Most live bands have between 3 and 6 members, but you can also find solo acts and duos, as well as larger ensembles.

  1. The number of hours they’re expected to play

Most live bands are able to play for a maximum of 3 hours with a 30-minute break in between sets.

This is the standard for most live band gigs and is also a good gauge for how much you should expect to pay. If you’re expecting the band to play for more than 3 hours, you’ll need to discuss how much extra you’ll need to pay for the additional time.

  1. Whether or not they need to bring their own equipment

Most live bands will have their own equipment, but this isn’t always the case. If a live band needs to bring their own equipment, you can expect to pay more.

On the other hand, if you’re hosting your event at a venue that provides equipment, you may be able to negotiate a lower price.

The same goes for lighting and sound equipment. If your venue doesn’t have these things, you may need to rent them, and that will add to your costs.

Some live bands will have their own lighting and sound equipment, while others will expect you to provide it.

  1. The type of event

The type of event you’re holding will also heavily influence the price of a live band in Singapore. For example, a wedding will be more expensive than a corporate event.

This is because weddings are more personal and usually require more time and effort from the band. A corporate event, on the other hand, is usually more straightforward and may not require as much work.

  1. Whether or not you need a band that can play specific songs

Some couples have a very specific song in mind for their first dance, or the father-daughter dance, or a song they want to be sure is played during the reception. If that’s you, you’ll want to find a band that can play those songs. That way, you can hear your special song live, and not just through a speaker.

There are many other factors that can affect the price of a live band. For example, some bands charge extra for a sound system, while others include it in the package. Some bands also offer add-ons such as DJ services, lighting, and emcee services. These add-ons can also affect the price of a live band.
